IAG 2007 Early Career Researcher Prize

In association with the Cologne Goldschmidt Conference, the International Association of Geoanalysts will be sponsoring the second annual Early Career Researcher Prize. This award is for the best abstract reporting original research in the areas of analytical technique development, productions of new reference materials or work on new approaches for the statistical treatment of geochemical data. There are three criteria in order to be eligible for this prize:
  1. The applicant must be working towards an academic degree in the geosciences or have completed their final academic degree within the past five years (August 2002 or later).
  2. The applicant must be first author on an abstract submitted to the Goldschmidt Conference
  3. The applicant must be traveling to Cologne to personally present his/her research as either a talk or a poster.
The prize includes a personal check for EUR 700 and a framed certificate. All eligible conference delegates wishing to be considered for this award are asked to submit a copy of their abstract (identical to the version submitted for the Goldschmidt Conference) by no later than 19 April 2007.
