One of the IAG’s priorities is to encourage younger scientists in the field of geoanalysis and their participation in meetings. To this end, the IAG established its Early Career Researcher Award in 2006. As part of the ($1000 US) award, winners are required to present their research at the next Goldschmidt conference where they are presented with their Award and a certificate.
A new series of awards, the IAG Geoanalytical Research and Networking Grants, are designed to promote research into new methods of sampling and analysis and encourage the publication of members’ contributions in Geostandards and Geoanalytical Research.
In recognition of their outstanding contribution to the field of geoanalysis and the IAG over many years, Honorary Fellowships have been bestowed on a few exceptional leaders in the field.
